Visitors to Ireland Will Now Be Able to Quarantine for As Little As 5 Days
Ireland, the first European country to reenter a national shutdown as a second wave of coronavirus took hold of the continent, will now allow visitors who test negative for COVID-19 after their arrival to quarantine for as little as five days. Currently, visitors from the U.S. and most of Europe are required to quarantine for 14 days. That means, no weddings, funerals, in-person holiday shopping, or face-to-face visits with others
Iceland to Open Borders to All Vaccinated Travellers
Iceland’s Justice Minister just announced that the country will open its borders to travellers from outside Europe who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. According to current regulations, Iceland’s borders are closed to all travellers outside the Schengen Area, EEA, EFTA, and EU, regardless of their vaccination status. Justice Minister Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir stated the change would take effect this week.
COVID-19 Still Around But Cyprus Open to Safe Tourists May 10
NICOSIA -- While still struggling to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, Cyprus will allow tourists from 65 countries to enter beginning May 10 if they have proof of being fully vaccinated, including those from the United States. Also welcome are visitors from the former Colonial ruler The United Kingdom, with the island a favorite lure for them although their government won't let them travel outside the country until May 15 for now.
