BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS REOPENING FOR TOURISM
The paradisal British Virgin Islands have re-opened their borders to international tourists for the first time since March. A popular yachting destination comprised of over 60 islands set in a volcanic archipelago, the news is sure to be welcomed by travelers and those who live on the islands alike as the country looks to restart its tourism sector following Hurricane Irma and the pandemic.
Ireland to Open to Vaccinated Travelers on July 19
According to the Irish government, beginning July 19, Ireland will begin welcoming travelers from within Europe who have the EU Digital COVID Certificate—a digital health pass issued to EU residents who have been vaccinated for COVID-19, tested negative for the virus, or who have recovered from COVID-19. The British Virgin Islands Is Easing Restrictions for Vaccinated Travelers
Another Caribbean destination has announced eased restrictions for vaccinated travelers: the British Virgin Islands. Beginning May 15, the British Virgin Islands will be reducing its quarantine period for fully vaccinated travelers. Fully vaccinated travelers will have to take a test upon arrival; once they get a negative test result (typically within 24 hours), they’ll be free to roam the BVI — and can forego the four-day quarantine for non-vaccinated travelers.
