Starfish Cayo Guillermo resort to open in December
TORONTO — Starfish Cayo Guillermo is set to commence operations on Dec. 10, marking the 20th property in Cuba for Canadian owned-and-operated Blue Diamond Resorts. Nestled on the shores of Cayo Guillermo in Cuba, the all-inclusive resort – formerly known as Club Cayo Guillermo – offers modern updates to common areas, restaurants and the majority of its 296 rooms.
HAITI REOPENING FOR TOURISM – ALL COUNTRIES WELCOME
Haiti has officially reopened its borders for tourism and has resumed international commercial flights to and from the island. Haiti first shut its borders on March 19 after the government announced the state of emergency to help curb the spread of the virus. On July 27th, the Prime Minister of Haiti lifted the state of emergency and the nation is slowly reopening for tourism once again.
US Virgin Islands Returns to Business After Isaias
The US Virgin Islands has resumed business operations following the passage of Tropical Storm Isaias. While the storm brought heavy rainfall to the area, it had “little to no impact to the territory’s tourism infrastructure,” according to the US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism. St Thomas’ Cyril E. King Airport and St Croix’s Henry E. Rohlsen Airport remain open with normal operations.
