The twin-island federation of St Kitts and Nevis officially reopened its borders for International tourism on Oct. 31, and in the last three months has helped set an example to the rest of the region on how to undertake a safe tourism reopening amid the challenges of the pandemic. Iceland to Open Borders to All Vaccinated Travellers
Iceland’s Justice Minister just announced that the country will open its borders to travellers from outside Europe who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. According to current regulations, Iceland’s borders are closed to all travellers outside the Schengen Area, EEA, EFTA, and EU, regardless of their vaccination status. Justice Minister Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir stated the change would take effect this week.
French St Martin Is Now Open for Tourism
The French side of St Martin is now officially open for tourism, Caribbean Journal has confirmed. The destination quietly reopened to both European and non-European tourists, including those from the United States. “You will be hosted in completely safe conditions in the various accommodations on the French side of St Martin,” St Martin’s tourism agency said in a statement. “They are ready and waiting for you — you have been missed.” St Martin
