The beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia has eased its restrictions for vaccinated travelers. All vaccinated travelers can now dine in restaurants, book rental cars, explore local markets, and go shopping. Before May 31st, all travelers faced restrictions on entering certain public places. Travelers must show proof of vaccination once they enter the country. US travelers will need to show their original vaccination cards, but British travelers must show their proof of vaccine via the NHS app.

KOSOVO HAS REOPENED FOR TOURISM WITH NO RESTRICTIONS

Kosovo is now open for tourism and has removed all Covid-related travel restrictions and entry requirements for incoming tourists. In fact, Kosovo reopened Pristina airport for international arrivals on June 28th, but we did not report on it right away for lack of official information.


BRAZIL REOPENING BORDERS FOR TOURISM

Brazil has officially reopened its borders for international tourism, effective immediately, July 29, 2020. In a complete surprise move, Brazil’s government made the decision to lift the current travel ban that has been in place since March. The current ban was set to expire at midnight on July 29th at midnight, and most believed it would be extended due to the epidemiological situation.


Germany Will Allow Vaccinated Travelers to Skip Quarantine and Testing

The German government plans to allow visitors who have been vaccinated against or recovered from COVID-19 to skip mandatory testing and quarantines. It also will permit travelers who test negative for COVID-19 to leave quarantine early. German lawmakers approved the changes on Wednesday, the Associated Press reported, noting that the relaxed restrictions won't apply to travelers from countries where variants of concern are clustered.
