GUATEMALA REOPENING FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM ON SEPTEMBER 18
Guatemala has reopened its international airport for tourists on September 18th, 2020. The reopening was first announced by Juan Antonio Ruiz, president of the Guatemalan Airline Association, earlier on in the month. Guatemala closed it borders back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic but it now looking to revive its tourism sector by resuming commercial flights into the country.

Following Tuesday's Group of 20 (G20) meeting of tourism ministers, Italian prime minister Mario Draghi announced that the country will be introducing a pass to allow in visitors who meet the criteria in a few weeks.
