Dominican Republic Updates Travel Entry Requirements
As COVID-19 vaccines become more prevalent, the Dominican Republic has announced updates to its travel entry requirements. Officials in the Dominican Republic revealed the Responsible Tourism Recovery Plan would no longer require travelers to provide a negative coronavirus test upon arrival. Instead, aleatory breath tests will be administered to between 3-15 percent of travelers arriving at airports or other ports of entry.
GUATEMALA REOPENING FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM ON SEPTEMBER 18
Guatemala has reopened its international airport for tourists on September 18th, 2020. The reopening was first announced by Juan Antonio Ruiz, president of the Guatemalan Airline Association, earlier on in the month. Guatemala closed it borders back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic but it now looking to revive its tourism sector by resuming commercial flights into the country.
United Resuming Flights to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta
United Airlines is set to relaunch a host of routes to popular destinations in Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned. In September, United will be resuming flights from Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The carrier also announced the planned resumption of service between Denver and Cabo San Lucas. In total, United is adding 20 routes to its schedul
