Barbados officially reopened for tourism back on July 1, 2020 – but has updated their entry requirements and rules several times since welcoming back guests. Barbados is a haven in the Caribbean, reporting very little cases throughout the entire pandemic. One of the reasons Barbados has been so successful at reopening for tourism has been their strict entry requirements, which have allowed them to keep case numbers ultra-low while jump-starting their economy.

Jamaica is known for its world renowned all-inclusive resorts, white sand beaches and laid back culture. North Americans flock to the island every winter to escape the cold and enjoy the tropical warm weather. Jamaica's tourism was devastated by the pandemic but has began its recovery by opening for international tourists.

Malta reopened for tourism on July 1, 2020, allowing visitors from many nations to enter the country without an isolation period or testing. Between reopening in July and the situation now in 2021, Malta has continued to add more countries to their approved ‘green’ and ‘amber’ lists. (see below)
