As of June 2020, Portugal has reopened its doors for tourism from select countries. Unlike some other countries now accepting tourists, mainland Portugal is not requiring a confinement/isolation period for the new arrivals.Portugal’s Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva recently made a statement saying: “Tourists are welcome in Portugal,”
Iceland to Open Borders to All Vaccinated Travellers
Iceland’s Justice Minister just announced that the country will open its borders to travellers from outside Europe who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. According to current regulations, Iceland’s borders are closed to all travellers outside the Schengen Area, EEA, EFTA, and EU, regardless of their vaccination status. Justice Minister Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir stated the change would take effect this week.
SEYCHELLES NOW REOPEN FOR TOURISM – HERE’S WHO CAN VISIT
On June 1st the Seychelles reopened to tourists from 19 countries, with another round of countries being added since the original reopening. (Updated lists below) The Seychelles officially announced the first two cases of Covid-19 on March 14, 2020 and since the islands were quick to respond and contain, the nation has decided to reopen tourism in a staged process.
