Barbados officially reopened for tourism back on July 1, 2020 – but has updated their entry requirements and rules several times since welcoming back guests. Barbados is a haven in the Caribbean, reporting very little cases throughout the entire pandemic. One of the reasons Barbados has been so successful at reopening for tourism has been their strict entry requirements, which have allowed them to keep case numbers ultra-low while jump-starting their economy.

The Bahamas first reopened July 1, 2020, but since has gone through many changes when it comes to entry requirements. The beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia has eased its restrictions for vaccinated travelers. All vaccinated travelers can now dine in restaurants, book rental cars, explore local markets, and go shopping. Before May 31st, all travelers faced restrictions on entering certain public places. Travelers must show proof of vaccination once they enter the country. US travelers will need to show their original vaccination cards, but British travelers must show their proof of vaccine via the NHS app.

Singapore is planning to open its borders for international tourism later this year. The country said on Monday that it’s hoping to allow a quarantine-free travel option for fully vaccinated travelers as of September 2021. By September, the government hopes that 80% of the city-state’s population will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
