This time I’m going to talk about updating frequently - how often should you be updating your website.
Quite often I find that this is one of the challenges, that is, finding time to be able to go into or back into your website.
Add Some Different Content
- Whether that's a blog.
- Whether it’s a new product offer that you received from a supplier.
- Whether it's a group that you're looking to promote and get off the ground and promote it on your websites as well.
If you're not updating frequently enough, you're going to have a challenge with driving more traffic towards your site.
Using Google Effectively
95% of the world uses google as a search engine.
Google uses a lot of different algorithms to be able to index websites for many different reasons.
What's Google's main goal is to be able to push you as soon as possible, that is, the most relevant content that you've search for when you've gone up and done a google search.
That’s one of the main things that Google does, to push traffic your way and that will help you significantly if you actually will update your website quite often.
Time is Key
If you're only doing it monthly, that's really not enough. Ideally, you're doing it on a daily basis and I know what a lot of you are thinking right now, you're like:
- I don't have time to be able to do that.
- I'm so busy doing quotes.
- I just can't have time.
- It takes me x-amount of time to be able to add it.
And it's just like:
- I don't believe that’s going to help me - so that's the challenge.
If you don't have the time to do it that's fine, hire somebody to do it.
So again, if you don't have time to do it, find somebody to do that, pay them to do it even if it's once or twice a week - you are going to see the difference by updating frequently enough.
