Your adventure begins with a welcome dinner in Athens. Then, travel to Thessalonika for guided sightseeing of this city, which was named after Alexander the Great’s sister, and an excursion along the route of Apostle Paul to Amphipolis. Continue to Philippi, and to Kavala, ancient port of Neapolis. Via Veria, visit the Bema of Apostle Paul, and spend a night in Kalambaka before exploring the breathtaking 14th-century rocktop monasteries at Meteora. Return to Athens and in Piraeus, board your cruise ship for a 3-night jaunt around the Greek Isles and Turkey. Enjoy free time to explore the island of Mykonos, then arrive in Kusadasi, Turkey, where an excursion to the fantastic ruins of Ephesus is included. Back in Greece, stop at Patmos for an included excursion to the Monastery of St. John and the Cave of the Apocalypse, then call at Heraklion on Crete, and Santorini (weather permitting). Disembark and visit the excavations of Corinth with a Local Guide before returning to Athens for guided sightseeing featuring visits to the Acropolis and Areopagus, where Paul delivered his famous sermon about the identity of “the Unknown God.” A farewell dinner at your hotel concludes this memorable vacation.
